The German Cancer Research Center is the largest biomedical research institution in Germany. With more than 3,000 employees, we operate an extensive scientific program in the field of cancer research.
Four outstanding groups (Prof. Dr. Michael Boutros, Prof. Dr. Peter Lichter, Prof. Dr. Duncan Odom and Prof. Dr. Stefan Pfister) at the German Cancer Research Center (DKFZ) have an immediate opening for a research assistant in flow cytometry or a cell sorter operator.
The four laboratories focus on different scientific topics: Signaling and Functional Genomics, Molecular Genetics, Regulatory Genomics and Cancer Evolution, and Pediatric Neurooncology. We are looking for English-speaking and self-motivated individuals, able to work independently and as part of a scientific team. Excellent interpersonal skills are essential to establish good relationships with researchers. Attention to detail to ensure accurate work and record keeping, as well as a flexible schedule are also very desirable.
Successful applicants should be certified as a technical assistance (MTA / BTA / CTA). A minimum of 1-2 year’s laboratory experience in biomedical research would be desirable.
