The Junior Research Group "Tumorigenesis and Molecular Cancer Prevention" studies the early stages of gastric and oesophageal cancer development. We use single-cell sequencing technologies to investigate the relationship between healthy and diseased tissues. We work closely with our network of international and local collaborators and in our interdisciplinary studies we use clinical samples and clinically relevant disease models (organoids), and we develop clinically applicable technologies for early detection of precancerous stages of gastric and oesophageal cancers.
As a technical assistant, you will play a critical role in ensuring timely and accurate sample preparation, data processing and results dissemination. The work includes diverse implementation of single-cell assays (single-cell RNA sequencing, single- cell DNA sequencing) and bulk DNA and RNA analysis assays.
