The Single-cell Open Lab is offering a position for a research scientist as part of the Health and Life Science Alliance Heidelberg-Mannheim. Our lab establishes new methods in spatial and single-cell omics and offers support and training for our users. In this way, we work with over 40 research groups in numerous exciting projects. Thus, we offer an inspiring and diverse work environment.

 

Your Tasks

  • Planning and designing complex projects allowing for an integrative data analysis
  • Establishing spatially resolved multiomics data with single-cell resolution across platforms
  • Performing experimental workflows with initial QC
  • Data and project management

Your Profile

We are looking for candidates with a university degree in life science, preferably with a PhD. The candidates should have experience and very good knowlegde of single-cell sequencing and imaging techniques such as sequential IF or multiplex FISH. We also expect a solid background in histology and cancer biology. Previous work in the single-cell field is certainly an advantage and skills in (image) data analysis are a plus.

Flexibility, self-motivation and innovative thinking are required for the successful implementation of your work. This also includes excellent communication and organizational skills as well as proficiency in English.
