Ihre Aufgaben:

The Division Signal Transduction and Growth Control studies gene regulatory networks focusing on the crosstalk between the tumor and its microenvironment that impacts skin cancer development and progression. The successful candidate will

  • establish genetically modified mice harboring reporter genes in dermal fibroblasts 
  • apply pre-clinical in vivo mouse models of melanoma skin cancer development
  • determine genetic programs of cancer -associated fibroblasts
  • use CRISPR/Cas9 based loss-of-function approaches in sophisticated 3D organotypic cultures.

Ihr Profil:

We are looking for highly motivated candidates with strong interest in gene regulation, mouse genetics and skin pathology. Applicants are expected to feature a high level of commitment, sense of responsibility, and ability to work in teams. We can offer you 1.) broad scientific background in signal transduction, cell biology, tumor biology and genetic mouse models, 2.) close mentoring in a stimulating international team-work environment within the Research Training Group Consortium RTG 2099/1 “Hallmarks of Skin Cancer”.
