Job description:
The project aims to dissect potentially druggable drivers of immune escape by oncogenic signaling pathways in liver cancer, using translational approaches and preclinical cancer models. Different state-of-the-art techniques will be applied, including novel, organoid-based transplantation cancer models, genetic perturbation of cancer and stromal cells and single-cell sequencing. The project will additionally involve the analysis and integration of multiple types of data to address questions in translational cancer biology.

Requirements:
The ideal candidate should hold a PhD degree in biology/ life sciences with an excellent background in biochemistry, cell or molecular biology. We look for a highly motivated and curious researcher with a strong interest in cancer biology and cell signaling. Additionally, the candidate should have experience in cell culture and molecular biology techniques. Experience in animal models of cancer and/ or computational skills would be of advantage. Furthermore, we expect passion for independent thinking, fluency in written and spoken English and a collaborative nature.
