We develop new methods with which tumors can be diagnosed more precisely and cancer patients can be treated more successfully. The Division of Radiooncology / Radiobiology is a small, agile team with a diverse range of expertise, including semantic web technologies, IT platforms, data science, and mathematics / physics modeling. As a student, you will join a multidisciplinary team in a dynamic environment, working together toward our vision of a life without cancer.


Your Tasks

We are looking for a student assistant for the digitalization of preclinical and clinical data from radiotherapy experiments. Currently the data exists in research reports on paper or excel and need to be transferred into a structured database.

The student assistant will support data management in scientific works by entering and validating the research data, while complying to a set of requirements in preclinical and clinical research practice.

Your Profile

  • Currently enrolled in a German university
  • Good knowledge of the MS Office package, especially MS Excel 
  • Good knowledge of R or Python
  • Affinity to number entries regarding combination of values 
  • Structured, organized and accurate working method 
  • Understanding of clinical and pre-clinical data terminology (preferred, but optional)
  • Willing to work as a team player 
  • Good knowledge of English 
  • Previous experience of (pre-)clinical trial and histology (lab) processes are of advantage
