“Research for a life without cancer" is our mission at the German Cancer Research Center. We investigate how cancer develops, identify cancer risk factors and look for new cancer prevention strategies. We develop new methods with which tumors can be diagnosed more precisely and cancer patients can be treated more successfully. Every contribution counts – whether in research, administration or infrastructure. This is what makes our daily work so meaningful and exciting.
• Information, job descriptions, and understanding of career orientation and application
• Stepwise and structured guidance in identifying careers that suit them and helps landing the job
• Tools to check what they want and need and how to align this with the job market
• Career network of Alumni who are open to answer specific questions and provide insights into their career to inspire
• Opportunities to find themself a great mentor
Your Tasks
Support of DKFZ Career Service & Alumni Relations activities:
- Further development of the online career development tool CareerCheck
- Creation of content for social media and the career network platform DKFZ Connect
- Maintenance of the Alumni database
- Organization of career and networking events
- Compilation of statistics and reports
Your Profile
- Enrolment at a university is a prerequisite; background in biosciences (or similar field) is advantageous
- Outstanding organizational and interpersonal communication skills
- Fluency in English, German knowledge are a plus
- Excellent command of Microsoft Office, especially Outlook and Excel
- Basic programming skills in R are a plus
