“Research for a life without cancer" is our mission at the German Cancer Research Center. We investigate how cancer develops, identify cancer risk factors and look for new cancer prevention strategies. We develop new methods with which tumors can be diagnosed more precisely and cancer patients can be treated more successfully. Your Tasks
Support the Career Service & Alumni Relations Team at DKFZ
As a student assistant, you will support a range of dynamic activities aimed at strengthening the DKFZ career community. Your responsibilities will include:
- Assisting with the further development of CareerCheck, DKFZ’s online career development tool
- Creating engaging content for social media and the career networking platform DKFZ Connect
- Maintaining and updating the Alumni database
- Helping organize career-related workshops, seminars, and networking events
- Supporting the team in compiling statistics, evaluations, and reports
Your Profile
We are looking for a motivated student who enjoys working in a team and is interested in science communication and career development. Ideally, you bring:
- Enrollment in a university program (required); a background in biosciences or a related field is a plus
- Strong organizational skills and excellent interpersonal communication
- Fluency in English; knowledge of German is an advantage
- Confident use of Microsoft Office tools, especially Outlook and Excel
- Basic programming skills in R are beneficial but not essential
