The Division "Radiooncology / Radiobiology" is seeking as of February 2026 a

 

Your Tasks

We are looking for a highly motivated student to join our research team, where you will help manage multimodal research data by harmonizing biomedical data from clinical and preclinical radiotherapy experiments and develop ontologies and knowledge graphs for AI-driven health research.

This role involves scripting in R or Python to automate data conversion processes, structuring information from diverse formats, and creating machine-actionable datasets and mappings for large language model (LLM) training.

You will work closely with researchers and domain experts to connect datasets with ontology-driven structures, refine mapping files, and support knowledge graph creation. The position offers opportunities to engage with innovative semantic technologies and contribute to research in data interoperability and advanced AI applications. You will gain hands-on experience with real-world biomedical data challenges and contribute to cutting-edge science.

Equivalent training will be provided to be up to date with our methodology. These include mentoring in research methodologies as well as training and exposure to semantic web and AI technologies.

    Your Profile

    • Valid certificate of enrollment as a bachelor's or master's student
    • Good knowledge of the programming languages R and Python; effective use of LLMs
    • High affinity for logical thinking and problem-solving skills
    • Structured, organized, and accurate working method
    • Understanding of clinical and preclinical data terminology is an advantage
    • Team player with good English skills
